Not a reply...just some imfo

Karol, as you know I got my Mintor 22 engine back & now have quite a few flights on it. The engine is running really good. Today I had to lean the carb more a tad. The engine came back to the correct Idle & I even got 2 three-point landings in today. Take care my Friend.

Flew again this AM & the air temp was just right. The M22 ran real good. Done loops, split-s. several rolls and flew inverted. Getting back in practice. The fun part is doing 3 point landings. It did them with ease with the good constant idle. Karol, get yours going...you will love it.

Not pushing anyone to buy Mintor. The only one I know about real well is the Mintor 22.

How long y'all been flyin' for sucout440?
Is a 3 point landing really that much of a rarity for you? I can do them most times - even with a deadsticked plane

It depends on the airplane. Some are more difficult to do 3 point landings. Age makes it a little harder also. Fourteen years ago I flew a lot better & more often. Then I had a stroke. I could not even run a microwave oven. I did not even post on any forums...could not run a computer. With a lot of theropy & Gods grace a year & a1/2 later I started to learn everything back. I relearned flying on a flight simulator. I had help from a nice guy from BC Canada online to learn to do basic computer skills. He understood how to help, for he had a stroke & had to learn things back.

The reason I am talking about this is for anyone out there that has had a CVA, is to never give up on you dreams. Look for help in the right places & do the best you can. That may not be anywhere near ideal, but do not give up. Also be sure to thank your maker. Hope that helps some person.

Best Regards, John

John glad you were able to recover to your current state...many people aren't that lucky...my wife was a rehab nurse for many years and its truly sad to hear about so many people who couldn't recover, young and old, from a stroke...by the way I never thought you were an ******* just someone who genuinely believed Mintor could pull this monstrosity out of the gutter.

Thank you very much for your kind words. I am thankful for my recovery. I guess just getting back to doing the things I did before, should be & is a very good feeling. I am satisfied pretty much & do not really feel I need or want much more. I have been blessed with probably to many RC goodies, although I really like to work on engines of all types. I think the good Lord maybe has plans for me to help others more.

As for Mintor I never did push any size bigger than my 22cc engine & I think that size may have been the best one of the bunch. Looks like their only hope is to perfect each size at a time & that may take a few years. Take Care & get out & fly.
