I will try the silicone gasket instead of factory. I maidened today using regular factory gasket and the copper stuff on the threads of the mufflers, and after 4 flights nothing came lose.

The red also works fine.I have used the surface and threads method for 20+ years and never had a loose bolt
I have a tube that's years old . The end will cure in time but you can puncture the tube with a xacto blade and it will self heal the tube when that area cures
