Oil ratio dilemma

A question on oil mixture.
In a post ( https://www.flyinggiants.com/forums/...-mixtures.html ) wttiger42 responed that this website has a real good ratio / mixture calculator. Which it does. The question I am having is that Tower Hobbies is selling the Fuji Synthetic 2 cycle oil ( http://www2.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin...?&I=LXMVU9&P=7 ) and it is a 100:1 ratio for 5 gallons of gasoline. As you can see in the add, and I also have a bottle in front of me, that it clearly states 100:1 and 5 gallons of gas.
But the bottle is 4.23oz.
Using the calculator ( http://www.csgnetwork.com/oilfuelcalc.html ) 4.23 is a ratio of 150:1 for 5 gallons of gas.
100:1 would be 6.4oz.

They also have ( http://www2.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin...?&I=LXHAL0&P=7 ) which says a ratio of 150:1 but they don't say how much gasoline to use.
8oz into 5 gallons of gas would be 80:1, but I can't figure out any even gallons of gas to make 150:1 ratio with 8oz of oil ( 9.4gallons ?????? )
Whats up with all of this?
How many people are mixing this 4.23oz bottle of oil in 5 gallons of fuel thinking that they are doing 100:1, but the are really @150:1

I know what you guys mean, but what I am asking is that the % ratios don't match oz per gallon.

4.23oz in 5 gallons of gas isn't 100:1, Its 150:1

Yes you are right it doesn't add up, I guess if Fuji stands behind it use it, but I'd make a phone call first.

128oz. in a Gal.
128x5=640
640 / 100=6.4 so 6.4 oz of oil

I called Tower and talk to a tech.
Yes it is wrong, The label and their add. WRONG, WRONG WRONG.
The ratio IS 150:1 for the 4.23oz bottle.
They said that their ad will be changed and they will do all they can to have the labels on the bottle changed.
They also said that they would inform anyone that buys the oil about the mistake.

Is there a way we can post an alert about the mistake to inform people before the smoke their motor @150:1

Even if Fuji would make good for the repairs, since it is their maistake on the bottle, who need it to happen when it could be prevented.

Re: Oil ratio dilemma

If you guys look at the new Tower talk ( issue 3 ) on page 52 under the Fuji engines. The last line in the paragraph says, ( I QUOTE )

FUJI-IMVAC SUPER LUBRICATING OIL GOES A LONG WAY, IT PERFORMS WELL WITH A 200:1 GASOLINE/OIL MIX.

200:1 ?????????

Re: Oil ratio dilemma

Would be interesting to know what the oil is actually rated at ie, 50:1, 100:1 etc. One things for sure what ever oil you use, mix it at what it is rated at. For instance, some of the Amsoil oils are rated at 100:1 so thats what they should be mixed at. I personally use Motul 800 which is a 50:1 oil which is what I mix it at.
