3DHS Announcing: 104" AJ Slick (100-120cc)

Anyone that made the San Antonio fly-in is having some giant scale drooling today as the 104" AJ Slick turned up. So that everyone on the interwebs can also play at home, here's the latest announcement of the AJ Slick line.

This is a prototype that AJ is still developing so some dimensions and changes are likely to happen as Andrew tweaks the final design to his liking. It is designed around a 100cc engine so that a DA100 will provide plenty of power for 3D, but the cowling will have the room to drop in a DA120 without needing a shoe-horn (and providing truly awesome amounts of power on the 120).

Being 3DHS it will come with the full lineup of carbon pieces (landing gear, wing tubes, etc) and info as I have it is that it will also come with: cloth wing bags, two piece cowling, carbon spinner, and two horizontal stabs (3D stab with counterbalance, IMAC stab without).

It's still in development, but as soon as the specifics are buttoned down it will be available to purchase from 3DHS a short time after that. More specific details will be provided when they come to light, but this post is the anti-playboy post: we're really not here for the articles!

(read: this post is about showing pics of the new toy!).

Looking forward to getting this bid this coming summer. With the slicks being so "big" anyways.....I think it'll be a perfect match for a BME 150LT. Beautiful looking plane for sure.
