I test flew a plane for some FIT students in a competition for a heavy lift plane that fits all kinds of constraints. The plane weighs 13 pounds (plus I needed another pound on the nose for balance) and it carried a 19 pound payload. The span is about 120". One of the constraints was the motor. A magnum 61 2 stroke nitro. No 3D from this thing. But it flew! 33 pounds! It flew. If it idles in one place too long the wheels dig little divits that it can't get out of.

did something like that years ago for riddle , used a Jet 60. Had a takeoff weight of 55 lbs , and flew great. We did good that year , like third place ..

fcat week, do your test and go home.. more time for me to work on my ultralight (: me and my friend are attempting to build a single plane ultralight glider, lol. it might not fly but the first one we made did!
