Discussion What is your preferred method to fix wing incidence problems

I have a 50CC plane that has an incidence problem. I need to make some adjustments. There seem to be a lot of info on how to measure the incidence and what it should be, but not much on how to actually make the change on the airframe.

I was thinking of filing out the pin hole to get the right measurement and then filling the excess with epoxy/microball mix and filing that once dry to get the proper fit...

Any other suggestions/tips from the experts on FG?

Make a little wooden "donut" that is about the size of a quarter. Drill the center of the donut to the exact size of the incidence pin. Once you get the incidence set glue in the donut behind the area you had to file. This donut will hold the pin, and then you can fill in the area you had to file with micro-balloons and epoxy and the donut will support it from the rear. It will be solid as the day it came.

What would your suggestion for the stab where u r not able to reach the pin hole from inside the fuse.

I'd try to get that 1/64" plywood sheeting and lay a section over the area that accepts the stab. Just lay it in the area.
I'd try to fill as much of the area as you can with that sheeting. Then drill for proper incidence. Then back it out, slather the whole thing with a thin layer of epoxy and make sure you get some extra epoxy with the micro balloons into the new hole and kind of behind it. keep making sure you are getting a decent amount of it behind the hole with a small stick, or a cotton swap and as it dries it should be pretty built up. Re-drill the hole clean and that should give you a nice strong bond.

If you keep the glue thin on the 1/64" sheeting moving the stab out that much should not hurt anything.
