DA twin ignitions do have separate coils, but with only one set of electonics firing both.

I don't know if I missed it somewhere, but I'd like to know what the width of the motor is plug to plug. I want to fit it in my 88" EF extra. I really don't want to cut the sides out of the cowling. Would be pretty bad a$$ in there I think.

Also would be cool to know what props they've been using on them.

It might be a little on the nose heavy side.. but a great 3D plane once you get it balanced out.

Won't know till we find out what the weight is compared to the da60. With the 60 I have all 3 of my batteries located at the fuel tank. So I got plenty of room to go back if need be. I thought I saw someone post a weight of 12oz more than the 60? Don't know if that is good info or not though.

If it will fit... more power is always a good thing!

Will be really cool to see if it will make more power than the 60. I wouldn't think it would. It should be pretty close though. As long as it spins a 23" prop in the upper 6's on stock muffs I'd be happy

With 15% more displacement it should make the same if not slightly more power than the 60cc single. I would think it should be about a wash for power to weight ratio.

I hope you are right Jody. I know it isn't the same, but I'm basing that off of the difference between the 85 and the 100. There isn't much difference. Some people claim the 85 is just as powerful. I don't think so, but I've never owned a 85 either.

The 85s and 100s I've been exposed to are very close. The 100s though are smoother, have a better midrange, and are more user freindly.

Bunky... give them a try!!!!

OK, they don't have 11:1 compression ratios, but they run cool, are very dependable, and you can run the small ones unbaffled without burning them up!
