Re: NGK-CM6 Spark Plugs for $1.90!!!!

I get them at my local Honda motorcycle shop, $3.30 each.

So did this website come through with the plugs? Anyone receive theirs yet ???

Re: NGK-CM6 Spark Plugs for $1.90!!!!

I placed an order with www.boats.net for 10 back in Feb 04, shipping date on invoice shows Feb 06. There is no tracking number, but that may be because they are shipping to Canada. Never got a notice that it was shipped either. All the invoice says is "Ready to ship Date 02/06/2009, so if it left then it should get here in 3 weeks. There is another guy that ordered about a week before me, I will have to check with him if he got his yet or any notice that it was sent. Still a good deal even if I don't get them till the summer as I have a few spares yet.

Let me get this right....they double the price and everybody runs out and buys the ones that were not raised to support them. Looks like classic marketing to me. If the boat company was unaware and working off of it's stock and now is reordering at a higher price then it should reflect soon.

Hey Ralph, when using the Denso is it plug and play or do the needles change any?

Ordered 5 from the boat place and got them in 4 days. I think this is a lifetime supply, have never fouled a plug. Please explain the need for 100 or 50 of the plugs. All this did was exhaust the stock of Boats inc. so reasonable orders could not be filled?

Jack,

I belong to a club whose membership predominantly flies gassers, so rather than have everyone order 2 or 3 and have to pay separate shipping I ordered enough to "share" and only have to pay a single $8.95 shipping charge.

Re: NGK-CM6 Spark Plugs for $1.90!!!!

The Denso and Champion plugs are the same, the needle settings are the same no matter which plug is used...
I have a business that uses different types of spark plugs...I am not hoarding spark plugs, they are used in my business...If I can buy plugs for $1.90 or $2.00, why should I pay a higher price ???? I buy NGKs BPMR6Fs the same way, have about 50 here in stock...
DA orders $10,000 worth at a time...Jump on them for buying more than they need.....

Re: NGK-CM6 Spark Plugs for $1.90!!!!

Let me know if you need more..
My next 100 won't be shipped until April sometime....
The boat website must have a direct link to NGK, or all the other sites are either ripping people off or buying through a middleman...Sparkplugs.com advertises everything NGK, their prioe is way up..$7 or $8 for a 2 dollar spark plug is ridiculous..

Re: NGK-CM6 Spark Plugs for $1.90!!!!

I got a strange one here. A 3W157 that fouls out plugs in about a dozen flights. Using Pennzoil Air-Cooled @50 to 1. Thought it was the gas (Quick Trip) so changed that to Mobil and still the same problem.

The symptoms are very hard starting. Engine has a DA ignition, KS 1090 tuned pipes. Have changed carbs, reed blocks, and finally found out that by changing the plugs brings back the nice easy starting. Fly for 12 flights or so and hard starting resumes.

The plugs look perfect with a nice dark tan color. Engine has great compression and lots of power.

Once the engine gets going it runs great and never dies, but getting it started is the challenge.

Getting tired of putting plugs in this beast. Oh, no amount of needle chasing fixes it.

Re: NGK-CM6 Spark Plugs for $1.90!!!!

Borrow someone's ignition and try it...
Try a .025 gap on the plugs, a good ignition will fire at .050...
