Thanks, Terry. The only system I have used is the Dupont Chromabase B/C. I found it very user friendly, just a little on the pricey side. The color match to the monokote from the paint store was great.

See scratch build thread, this one's on hold until the other one is caught up to the same point. Probably another week or two.

I think you need to show up at an actual Huckfest and show that you can fly first

Then my wife did some legwork before Christmas and found a used / damaged Carden Edge that needed parts and a complete recover (bad bad scheme). He would not sell me parts because I mentioned a scratch build in this thread and said he does not sell parts to scratch builders.

Nope, done with them. Their great planes, don't get me wrong, I just don't want one and don't want to build one.

Gave me inspiration to step up my efforts on the scratch build from an 85-100cc bird to a lighter larger more powerful bird with lots more details to show what a second time builder can do.

OK, nuff of that......got skins taped and ready for poly glue out in the shop
I'll sell you what ever you want. I sold a 330SC to Tony Jacobs in Atlanta and he hasn't built any planes in over 15 years. He built it and flew it in three months. He loves it.

Cool, I'll look forward to perhaps building one next year Your planes look very well designed.

I picked the wrong Winter to do a build and a scratch build. Spent too much time flying all the way up until first week in Jan. Oh well! Rest of Feb we'll make some good progress.

Husker, here are the pics of those SFG's. The dovetails are a little sloppy so they can be filled with thick CA or Epoxy. The base plate gets T-nuts installed and Epoxy that to the wing tips. They are kinda designed with the idea that they will break before the wing in case of introduction to terra firma.
