OK a little help needed with my new ZDZ 210....Motor is well broken in now with about 12 gallons fuel through it. I have been slowly turning in the high speed needle a little every few flights while monitoring the engine temps after each flight. Temps are in the 165 to 170 degree range which to me means I am still running rich. Now as I continue to lean out this motor I have not touched the low end needle and was wondering what would be the right procedure...do I need to richen or lean the low end as I lean out the high end. rather than go with needle settings, I suggest you tune it by ear and transition . 300 flights on mine, and yes we fly it hard. sounds like you haved it close - so lean the low needle til it won't transition to high then richin up til it will - richin the high til you know it is rich for sure,hear it slow down 400-500rpms- now lean to max rpm, nice and smooth -finally - richin up 150-200 rpms , fly it a little rich as the motor is not broke in enough and keep low end a little on the rich side so you know it won't quit- open a hair. for the transition test use your flying idle something like 1300-1400 my landing idle is 1100

i have a zdz 210, i have found it does not like to be on the lean side at all. i ended up not using a tach and trying a bunch of props. i ended with the biela 33x12, it seemed to give the best overall performance.

I have been running a ZM CF 34x14 with great results....spectacular verdical.... and a 3 blade CF 32x12 for IMAC with good performance but quiet.

when i had the zm 34x14 on mine all it did was make a lot of noise. that prop has the same load as a mejlik 32x12.

if you can get a hold of a biela 33x12 give it a try. i think you will be surprised.
