"TELEMETRY PORT .... for future expansion"? does that mean the telemetry port is no-op currently?
. and what kind of sensors can/will it take - iow, will the sensors be a proprietary digital code that is necessary to purchase from potenza or something else?
of course, the next question is, "will the telemetry port be able to influence the aura unit, or will it just be a feedthru to the Rx"?
.
btw, i suppose "all mjor (Tx/Rx) brands" includes FrSky taranis?

I'm just about ready to try a gyro in my jets but I think I'll check this one out in Toledo first. What booth will you be in there.

Ok i wil ask the proper questions.
How does the unit handle servo current surge
How much will it go for sale
Why this unit and not a demon cortex or even open flight stab (cheapest option but you need some dyi skils and a very simple dyi power distribution board)

Ok 80 usd introductory price, how much will it sell normaly and how we change configuration and apply upgrades.
I'd still like to know if/how it handles servo pulses to minimize current surge and how much current is it rated at.

Upgrades are also covered in the link...

As far as current... I assume the same as any other product in this category does. What is your intended use??

I asked the questions because:
I dont really want to carry a laptop/tablet in the field to configure the thing so i'd realy want the phone software.
Application is for 3d planes so plenty of current going through, specs don't mention current.

Not true...

I think you are looking at the product in the wrong way from what it is intended to do. I run the Demon Cortex's. Current in those has not been an issue, as its not the primary power supply. Power passes through it, just like a servo extension.

I really can expand what i mean with current requirements and if it does any clever signal processing to eliminate current surge but its not the place for this.
All I'll say in 3d planes, full size servos can get more than 5A on full load reversals, if you have six ( ok one if those is a throttle servo) you can add things up.
Dont get me wrong . i've asked the same question to the developers of the cortex thread at rcg and i got no reply, they didn't get my custom either. Personally i use ofs that does the signal processing with a simple dyi power distribution board to directly feed the servo with power.

ckleanth,

My bet is that 3D planes were considered when this device was conceived, designed and created. Think about who the guys are who have created it and are bringing it to market. One of the guys is noted as the creator of 3D flying.

So no mixing, no dual/triple rates, no expo, no conditions, no trim, no servo reverse, sub trim, end points? Just you and 4 channels?
