With the growth of the site it was impossible to keep everything in line... so a new system, that has worked elsewhere is being used.......

I have moderated another site (non-RC related, and quite large) and it is VERY difficult...
so the staff is now trying a system to be as fair as possible...

HOW is this bad

Just a couple of things have changed. If they go by the letter of the law (new rules), lots of the huckfest coverage will not be allowed, and the Snapahuckfest will definitly not be allowed.

I applaud FG for trying to make this site better, but in thinking about it, back in the day, when I joined the original site, I was attracted to the vibe because it wasn't politically correct... It was a bunch of folks that would be giving eachother "poop" one day, but turn around and help a total stranger with a question, advice, etc. IMHO, these new rules detract all of that and change this into one of the MegaRC sites.


I know theres been a problem in the past, and I'm sorry for the parts that I've played in that problem.... Good luck to FG with this new rule change....

That's what the "owner" of this site wanted as a leading edge article because it's "news". Kinda makes you go hummmmmmmm....doesn't it? Personally I never posted in the JS threads and I didn't like seeing such a travesty in our hobby take place. But, IMO, you reap what you sew.

How many members total and how many actually post? From day one do five years later that number has increased twenty fold. This site is one of the monsters today and it has lost some of that down home feel. If you really want that down home feel hit a Huckfest or one the the many Funflys that are advertised here on FG.. Nothing better than flying with friends, Nothing better than the face to face banter, Nothing better than going to dinner after a long day in the sun playing with our toys. The After hours are mostly unspeakable but damn "I Swear she was 18" or "I'll bring the cookies"..

Bottom line you want what once was load your junk and get to an event. Until then sit back and watch the KAOS..
