Hi Lou, I'm sure that prop choise will affect the DBs as well. When I first developed the (Medium) size for the 50-120CC engines someone asked what the DB reading was. He said at his field the test method was to run the plane/engine 3' off the ground and from the side at 25' at full throd for 5 seconds. Conducting this test using a Vess 28B prop I got: 87 on grass and 90 on pavement.

Our field meter is not the best, but the db reading was still well below what our field requires. My reading was taken on pavement and 20 ft away, but not 3' above grade. Very happy with your product and thanks for all the support.

I have the 35% PILOT Yak 54 with a DA 120,
50mm drop from Chief Aircraft,
Med size Pro Flows

They will actually varry a tiny bit as they are all hand made but I am looking at a scale right now with a rear exit Medium Canister on it...6.5oz
