Hi Guys and maybe girls

I have a question regarding a dle 170cc running on canisters. When I was racing late models we fitted a balance piece between the two exhaust headers about halve way down the pipes after the collector box.

Now while Im busy assembling a new plane it got me thinking what would the gains/losses be if I connect the two smoke inlets to each other to balance the pressure in the two canisters. Why Im asking is first Im not fitting smoke and were going to blank them anyway and secondly this is a two stroke and not a fourstoke? Any input would be of great help.

Balance pipes is a four stroke thing. I doubt there would be any gain in two strokes. There even may be attenuation by the side dump pipe length.
Then again, nothing beats a good try.
