Aeroworks Carbon Cub Owners

Just wanted to throw this out there that Aeroworks just called with a strut reinforcement kit available to all 100cc Carbon Cub owners. The kit includes a couple of hardwood blocks and additional structural wood to sandwich the existing block with a more robust mounting point. They also include covering material and instructions. Obviously they realized there was a problem in this area and have done something about it. Looking forward to installing the update so I can fly my Carbon Cub with confidence. They recommend not flying the Carbon Cub until this update/repair has been done.

I got my call about an hour ago.. and the kit is on its way. So I gues I'll have to bother my friends again to help me fix it... since my building skills sucks... hehehehe

Why would they say to not fly the plane if the struts are not functional?

If the strut mounts come loose it makes the repair more difficult to perform when compared to an undamaged strut mount. That is why we would rather have the airplanes not be flown so that the repair is as easy as possible for the customer.

I say 100% Kudos to Aeroworks for doing this.

It shows a company that supports their product instead of just selling product.

+1

They are stepping up and providing the after sales support they have been famous for.

So are these issues fixed on new purchased orders from factory or does end user have to fix them before flying?

All new airplanes that we currently have in stock have been fixed by our R&D staff.

Same here, hope that my father can have the mod done for me by the time I get back from Afghanistan in July. I only had a chance to put two flights on it before I deployed back over here. Looking forward to getting it back up when I get home. now if I could just find a reasonably priced set of "tundra tires" for it I would be set.
Thanks for the Great service aeroworks!

No , Kudos would be that they send you a new pair of wings that are built that way from the factory instead of having to cut holes in your sheeting and repair them. What a joke. You spend 2500.00 with shipping and then have to fix something that is there design flaw. Then it looks like a badgered up pos with a perfect lines in the sheeting and a patch of cut covering in two different spots. NO thanks !! This is the second plane I have bought from you guys that has had wing failure issues. Good customer support would be hey we have a issue we will send you new wings, and would like the old ones back. If I would'nt have paid 2500.00 for something that was suppose to be top notch I would be that pissed. You will never see another purchase from me or anyone I know!!!!
