That is the one that I'm using there is only a choice of the left one or the right one. I'll try the right one instead of the left one....

Thanks,
Nick

hold the switch to full down till it stops beeping and try it. if it does not work, try full up. i am almost positive i have used my radio with the 6 channel spektrum radio. If you need further help, send me a PM with your phone number. i may be able to walk you through it (as long as you live in the USA).

You push the trim switch up to engage the trainer. We did this just last week on mine and it worked perfectly.

Start with your monitor screen and see whats going on with that trim switch

Andy,

Thanks, I am using the correct trim switch .... it just make the motor speed up with the throttle in idle. Throttle trim is as low as it can go. I have udated to ver. 103 and the DX6I is new. I'm using a 6.5 foot cord with mono mini jacks on both ends.

I'll check the monitor screen... the switch position indicator on the LCD screen shows the "trim" moving up when I press the Left trim switch.... not the throttle trim

Thanks for any more ideas ... I'm South of you down in Coral Springs....

Nick

Do you have '2 position switch' selected for that switch in 'device select'? My guess is that could be the problem.

Chief,

Not sure that I know how to do that... went to device select ... with no success. It does not act like a 2 position switch.

Thnaks,
Nick

Go to 'system list'
select 'device sel.'
under 'device' select 'LTRM 2P' for the channel you want to use

That will convert the LTRM switch to 2 position i.e. ON/OFF

I think that is correct even though I do not use my 11X for trainer nor set it up as such. That will at least make the switch act like a on/off switch.

Let us know if that works for you.

You can also set it up as a momentary operated switch by selecting LTRM MO. You may want to do that so you can just hold the switch ON and release it to take control back from the student. That way it would work the same as the 'trainer button' on other transmitters. FWIW

Chief,
Went to DEVICE SEL.
AUX2: LTRM MO

I have options for INH
ACT
GYR
PIT

I tried LTRM MO and LTRM 2P and INH and ACT Still the motor comes on the Slave has lights (power off) but still does nothing.
Should I have the LTRM on something AUX2? My choices are GEAR: FLAP: AUX2: AUX3: AUX4: AUX5: AUX6
WING TYPE is NORMAL

Sorry to be a pest, thanks for the help

No pest problem, Nick, but I have no other ideas to solve the problem. I suggest you call Horizon and talk to the techs for an answer.

Sorry I could not be of more assistance.

Chief,

Feel better ....I DID call Horizon and they could not come up with a "fix" either.... The radio works perfectly and I suspect that there is some operator error involved. Probably have some strange setting somewhere that is causing the problem....
