Floats

Hi Guys,

I am sure there are people among us that know how to make big floats for say 140" size plane.
I am looking to either build or buy them. Any information is appreciated.

I asked Bill H. at the show he only has 1/2 scale floats but one of his customers at Nall apparently made the float himself.

Please let me know if you can help me with this.

Thank you all,
Reza

The good thing about the BUSA is you can make them as heavy duty as you need. I will see if I can get some info on the floats Matt used on 60%. Also the 40% BH Cub I did a couple years ago is in FL on floats now. Are you thinking Decathlon?

I second this site, I built some big floats for a Cub last year and his kits are top notch. They also only added 2 pounds to the plane all up. It would still hover with them....

There is a guy on the "show us your float planes" thread that is making kits for floats up t I think 50%. Maybe try him out- he sells short kits with all the lazer cut parts, but you would have to buy all the sheeting etc... yourself.

I just ordered a set of 1/3 BUSA floats for me World Models 144" Super Cub- the same set Planebender had on his for that Lake Havasu float fly video-
