While I very much like AW planes and have owned three they need to get it right on the estimated weight. Don't say 16-17 pounds unless it can really be built stock at that weight.

And I am struggling to see those numbers as realistic.
The airplane shown in the pictures weighs 16.5 pounds built with a DA 50 ready to fly.

Thanks for all of the comments guys! It has been great working with Kendal on this new airplane and we are excited to finally let others see it in person.

The price and full specs have not been finalized yet but as soon as we feel comfortable releasing them you all will be the first to know.

+2 My experience is limited with AW arfs but from what i seen of there 75cc extra 260 that's supposed to be 21, it really came in at just over 24 using good stuff. With a total carbon over haul and light beech prop it was still high 22 low 23..

POST WHAT IT WEIGHS NOT WHAT YOU WANTED IT TO WEIGH..

Jersduns,

Mark just said that their plane, RTF, weighs 16.5 LBS. So isn't that what it does weigh, AND what they wanted it to weigh? And how can you estimate weight based off of a picture?

I haven't been terribly excited by Aeroworks planes. They seem nice, but just don't do it for me.... Until now! Sweet looking plane guys. I love it!

I will guess $690 to $730 since that is what their other 50cc bipes are priced at.

Of course, they would sell more at $399.00!

Why, on an airplane of this size, can a manufacturer not put the servos inside the wing and fuslage. A pet peeve of mine!!!

Will this plane be part of the Quick Build-Lite series, then? I have kinda wanted a couple different 50cc bipes, but 18-19lb weights at my elevation (5000') kept me away...

I like that. One of if not the most scale looking ARF's I've seen in a while apart from the PAU Extra.

Mark: Is it only configured for DA engines or would a 3W or MVVS fit it without hacking the cowl to death?
I could be tempted if it ends up looking as it does in the pic with a different rubber band for power.

That is one awesome looking ARF! I see a Bi-plane in my hangar in the very near future.
