Hey fellas,
My addiction has procured me a H9 33% extra the latest version... It was a deal of deals and it has a FPE 95cc single (not my first choice, but for the price... I'll fly it as is!!) So I'm going to slap some radio gear in it next week and wanted the scoop on a few things. 1) I have the Hitec servo programmer, so can I use one digital 200+ oz torgue MG servo in the inside pocket of the wing and run a digital 133+oz or carbonite gear servo in the outer pocket as long as I program the throws, speeds and center points? Is that cool to use 2 different servos? 2) Anyone got the HOT CG point? And expierence with where the plane actually likes to balance at? (for all around flying straight and a bit of the 3D) 3) Any weak points I should address (the guy i am getting it from is a IMAC guy and the plane was not beat on AT ALL... the wheel pants don't even have a scratch on them!!) 4) Any "I've had one heres the stuff you need to know" type of learned knowledge about this plane? Drop some science please! Thanks guys!!

I do see one thing I would change. You pickup wire for the ignition looks like it's strung pretty tight with no support on it. That's gonna take a beating inside that cowling. I would re-route that if at all possible to aleeviate wire breaking stress. Other than that you got a heck of a deal. And personally I would not mix servos's in the wings and try to match them.

If you want to save some weight go to carbon fiber main gear and wing tube. Saved me 12 oz.. I didnt' know there was a "new version", whats the difference?

Dude, you better have earplugs. That's gonna be on cackling beotch! If it's a shaker, might want to take a look at Tarus engines. My buddy Bill who is chief of the place can take any single, balance the snot out of it and take weight out of most engines. Does a real nice job on singles.

Hey Sleppy C, I just got one too. I did'nt know about a V2 Extra. Sounds like you are gunna run the same sort of engine that i'm running, mines a Brison 5.8 95cc. Fit out will be 8x Hitec HS-5955TG's at 24kg each, Smart Fly power expander, super reg and fiber optics ignition swith, lipo batterys and JR RX. Dude sweet looking wing bags, where did they come from, I want a set? I've changed over to a PBG carbon wing and stab tubes and will also consider carbon gear but iI don't know who makes them.
Yoyosmuggler, where did you get the carbon gear from? L. |

he might be talking about the 330L (old) vs the 330S (new)????
I have a 330S/3W85QS.... you can probably drop off three of the 5955's and still fly just fine. I have single 8611's and it does great. plus saves some weight. Check www.airwildpilotshop.com for the wingbags.

I have a fkying buddy who just broke his third pair of CF gear on his H9 Extra 260. He's going to get a set of replacement gear in aluminum.

I have one of these on a ZDZ 80, awsome plane, I can't tell you exactly where my C/G is but the one quoted in the manual is deffinately conservative. Do not go with one servo per aileron the construction of the ailerons is not stiff enough to permit this you'll get severe twist in them at extreme throws and consequent poor performance and possible failure.

I fully planned on going with 2 servos per aileron, I just wanted to know if I could go with 2 different servos per ail.
Like a Hitec 200oz MG digital inboard, and a hitec 130oz carbonite digital Outboard, I have the programmer and can sync the servos speed, throw and center, would this be bad?
