It will be nice to see an unbiased review of this sim. My opinion of Phoenix is somewhat clouded by a group of shills that have been pushing it in various forums
http://www.rcgroups.com/forums/showthread.php?t=611894
http://www.rcgroups.com/forums/showthread.php?t=586722
$150 is not exactly "cheap" for a "unproven" sim as the other commercial flight sims may come with free add-ons and other features at a slightly higher price. I have not seen many user videos on it either.

I've avoided any sort of review on those "other" forums because of all the crap and bickering that goes on. If anyone's really interested, I've got a 1-week old copy of PhoenixRC running right here. Any specific questions? Or do you just want comparisons with G3.5, FSOne, etc...?

I'm not a horribly talented writer, so a full, magazine style review is out of the question, but I'd be happy to answer any questions that might pop up....

Hi all,

I made a vid tonight of Phoenix with the extra, nothing flash no editing! just huckin about, I used fraps to record it, Ended up with 1.5gig file!! I used windowz movie maker
to crunch it down to 22 megs for putefile.

The end result is pretty grainy cos of the compression, but is still very watchable!
I will make a few more for you later

Jim.
