CHP Extra WOW!

Well last Friday I was uhmmm Sick so I went to the field to get some fresh air, you know for health reasons . I was dying to maiden the 34% Extra. Well I tell ya it flew like a dream. Couple of clicks down and couple of clicks right is all it took. After a couple of flights I got to playing with the throttle curve . Very stable in a hover and T roll.
Flew it again with 'The Tank' in Salem. Let him take it around the block after he helped me adjust the engine. He seemed impressed as well. So Far So good.
Highly recommended in my book.

I am assembling mine now, I have to take a couple of out of state trips so it will take me a month or so to finish, I have a brand new 3W 106 already mounted on it. Give me some tips on anything you encountered in the build process. Pics would be great as well. I am looking forward to this bird as my IMAC plane this year. This will be my first attempt at IMAC

Plus, you could get one with pipes and a DA100 for two grand. Not bad of a deal. Wasn't he selling two for the price of one? Like the blue color on it.

FJ Air
Pretty easy build. Just a couple of things I noticed. Make Sure you iron down the covering. I forgot to do mine and lost a piece of blue off of the left wing. I'm using 1 5955 servo for the rudder and it will knife-edge loop. I have a DA 100 in mine with KS rear exhaust cans. eveything is stock the cans kinda hang down but it's no biggy for me. The Tank said it was a great IMAC plane and he competes so I'll take his word for it. After you set up the wings and the hold downs, bevel the end of the aluminum rods that go into the wing. That way it won't hang up when putting the wing on.

I remember when you got your's flying. I was chomping at the bit to finish mine. Then it got cold here. Last Friday was just perfect for a sick day.

Me and a Bud bought 2 for 1200 including a 2 prop. And the prop is just right for a 100.

I flew mine SAt. and Sun. for the first time. 3dub 106 with 8611 all around 1 on rudder. It balenced perfect with battery behind rudder servo and carbon spinner. It flew very solid. I am still triming at this point. It does not seem as stable in a hover as some of the other planes I have flown, but my fingers are new to this one.Eric
