This 40% 260 is expected to weigh 28 lbs, and it WILL fly on a DA 100.............

*** do you mean, too low???? How about you try to get a 40% down to under 30#. It is HARD WORK!!!! Not that I've done it, but I know what it takes to do so!!!!
260, 28# sounds like a good number to shoot for!!!! GO FOR IT!!!!

Like I said..." I THINK its to low", i never said its impossible....
I know i can't get a 40%er under 30lbs, because i dont build kits/scratchbuilt planes.........

I just finished framing up a Carden 260 and tried to get the weight down as much as possible. I set out shooting for #35 or under RTF. So far, I got my airframe down to 17 lbs standing on it's wheel not covered. If you get one RTF at 28 lbs, there will not be much wood left in the build. IMO.
Good luck on your project. It will be interesting to follow.
