Thanks to all!

Yeah room is a problem! I'll try to get a move on in the next days, I have some new projects, but this thing has to get out of the way first!

Default the monster is not dead!

Hello guys, long time no news...

I've been very busy lately but found time last weekend to put the servos into the wings.
I put everything together once more and saw that I have a big CG problem, I'm never going to get it forward enough.
So I'm going form 5s to 6s, which is nice: I can put a 3s pack on each side of the fuz. Final AUW will probably be around 3,5Kg. I hope I can get enough punch out of the Hyperion 4025, 1,5Kw burst would be nice.
If 6s is still not enough to reach CG I'm going to get a 4045 on 8s

An other problem is flight speed: one HS-81 per elevator half is okay for around 12m/s so I think I'm going for HS-225's

There is a bit of experimenting to be done!

1x S3152 (had that one lying around, goes on the rudder)

2,4m span, expected AUW under 2.5Kg

6mm depron core plated with 3mm depron on both sides. Where necessary core is light ply. 12/10mm carbon wing tube.

First picture is a CAD print screen. Last one is the wing half core compared to a standard Loco wing.

I like your CNC router table fdix is it a DIY table or no? was wondering what stepper or servo motors are you using along with controllers etc?. I am building my own DIY router table but I put a hold on it untill the end of June when I get some free time to work on it.

also love your giant foamy!

Thanks! The CNC mill ist not DIY, only the vacum table is. I found it the best way to mill depron. I have to check exactly what motors I have. The are form Sanyo anyway. I'll check and then send you a PM.

wrap

this thing won't be flying tomorrow but as time permits I'll go on building!

Thanks!

The mill was custom built for us by VK Technik in Germany. Here are the main specs: 1650x500x200mm xyz, 0.01mm resolution, 65mm/sec max. 1kW spindle from Kress. Software is EdiTasc by Trimeta.
