Lots of foamie action going on in Goldsboro NC. Maybe jongurly will chime in here. He's from that area, and he's a helleva hucker himself. There are two really nice clubs in your area as well. I'd send you our way, but we're an hours drive from Goldsboro. However,, WE DO expect you to frequent our fly ins!!!

I'm going to be moving to Goldsboro NC area(Seymour Johnson AFB) as well in April. What are the "3d friendly" clubs in the area?

Well I dont know that you could call jon a pilot but he knows how to fly r/c. LOL

Thanks guys , yes here in Goldsboro we have two flying fields I have only been to one of the fields, must say very nice it was in September thay have had a Giant Scale Fly Inn lot's of planes .

Thay will have this Giant Fly-inn in 2007 Sept_13 , now Larry if you come across jongurly please let him know I'm looking for somone from Goldsboro that flyes electrics for one to give me some pointers and to go flywith

Hey 50%, long time no see man! Glad to here you're moving up to this area. I live on the northern side of raleigh which is about an hour away from you. I hope to see you some next year.

What up fellas,, sorry I couldn't get on here earlier,,,,, anyway,, like Larry and Josh said there are two clubs in Goldsboro, Hey ARMED FORCES,, if you will go to
www.coastalplanes.com and click on the CLUBS link the two goldsboro clubs are up there, one is WayneMiniatureAeronautics (they are located in Rosewood NC, in between Smithfield and Goldsboro a couple miles from HWY 70) they put on two Bad as s Big Bird Flyins,, the raleigh boy LarryLewis and Josh(Ifly3d) can vouch for that, they have one of the most smooth runways I have ever seen, I live about 5 miles from them,, they have 19 members at 125 dollars apiece per year, but it is first rate, bathroom, flyins, shelters, starting stands etc,etc,,, and there is some other extra activities that go on also, "you better wear your orange hunting hat",,, just ask Larry and Josh,, they have fun with that one every year,,,, ,,,,, OK<<<< next,, we have East Carolina Radio Controllers,, they are located in between Goldsboro and Kinston NC,,, they are off of Hwy70 about 5 miles there link is on the coastal planes website also,, they are about 40 members strong at 100 dollars apiece,,,,, nice club,,, they have a big bird flyin also but they have only had it for 2 years and it is growing,, the Rosewood club has the 2 well established large flyins,, but if you need anymore info or whatever just let me know,,,
PS... the ONLY,, local hobby shop www.glennshobbycorner.com is located about 4 miles from the Rosewood club,, it is top notch, very big,,,, with a car track and all,,,, so you can crash go buy some 5minute epoxy and be back flying in about a hour,,hahahaha
