My heli past consist of a GMP cricket in the 80s that I planted in the wheel well of my buddies mini van, then had a GMP shuttle and Concept 30 flew both with a 4ch futaba conquest, with the throttle and collective linked to the same servo......Amazing that I was actually able to fly them.
Now days its a Raptor 60 and T-rex 450 with a JR9303, talk about a world apart from my early days, Heck now I dont know how I could do it without my throttle jockey, cant believe I ever did it without radio mixes and a govenor.
Cheers

My first heli was an old used Kyosho Concept 30DX that flew great. I was off of the training gear and doing forward flight and loops with in my first week. Then after a while I sold the Concept and bought a new Hirobo Shuttle Plus kit, built it, set it up and had to sell it before I had a chance to fly it.
I will say one thing about flying helicopters , it made me a much better airplane pilot!!!

Trex 450 SE V2
Heli-up 450 Custom Trex
Raptor 50 V2 w/Kasama
Raptor 50 V2 For Sale
Trex 600N pro
Raptor 90 SE
Avant EFX

But if I had to give one up I would give up Heli's and keep my planes.

I started out with a Heli-Boy as my first in '81. I've built, flown and crashed countless models since and currently I'm down to only a T-Rex 450...
