Default 30% SD Yak Carbon gear

I see that both Graphtech and SD models offers carbon main gear for the plane. Just wondering if anyone out there has tried either and what they thought.

Get the SD gear, the Graphtec delaminates, and the SD gear looks better anyway.

Where can I get the SD gear from, I don't see it on the website? I may not be using the right site, it is the SD models website, correct?

I've flown the graftec gear for over a year on my aviation models 30% yak. Many harrier landings and one dead stick that ripped them off the plane. Put them on the replacement Yak. No delam... no problem. The new ones have some 3d weave/lay up in them that makes them even stronger. Both will delam under the right circumstances.

My Graphtec gear delamminated, it wasnt 3D or 4D, but it was the only one they had at Chiefs, maybe I just got a bad one, but the new one from SD models is injection molded, no layers to delamminate, my friend bought them from SD models in San Fransisco, you can try TBM or Temecula Valley Hobbies.

Has anyone tried the TNT gear? It is made from T6. HAS to be better than the stock gear right? I landed exactly two times today and my stock gear is all splayed out. I was thinking that the aluminum would absorb a little more energy than the CF gears. Thoughts? I have to get something pronto.

I think i might do one. I has to be better than what is on there right now. It is like it has been anealed or something. lol

I should steal Wayne's gear off of his Yak. He was doing harrier landings in his Yak and it was fine.
