Casey - You wanted some pictures of the 3Dbatix Extra 330 foamy because your building it right now and need some pictures, so here are some i took for you. Soryy i dont have any pics durring the assembly..
- Make sure that you use foam reinnforcements on the fuse and carbon fiber rods for the wings. Dont take any shortcuts unless you want a flimsy foamy ... I mounted the reciver on top of the fuse for a reason.. I also used a velcro motor mount method... This was NOT my idea so dont give me any credit!!!! My flying buddy came up w/ the idea and is my favorite and only way i will ever want to mount my outrunner motors! So give the credit to Bill Martins! I think its the best method because if you hit the ground nose first pretty hard, you wont break the nose of the foamy. Instead the motor section comes apart from the nose of the foamy.. The velcro used is just standard 3M velcro. Dont use any velcro that is tooooo strong, because it will do you no good for poping off durring impact. My equiptment used: Hacker a20-34s, CC 10a esc, CC 4g reciver, GWS 8X6 prop(apc pulls the motor off of the velcro..), Futaba s3108 servos, tanic taps 3-cell 830mAh lipo, and Shock Flyer rods, control horns, etc.. AUP rtf is 9.4oz Hope the pics help you out! Tony Thomasian

Also tape the sides of the horizontal fuse! Belive me.. It will make a huge difference! When you hit the ground hard or get tangled up somewere your fuse wont break in half...

I'm real curious about this velcro motor mount, do you have more details?? All of the velcro that I've seen seems too weak, ever had any problems with motors pulling off?

i never would of thought about using velcro on the motor mount. looks and sounds like a good idea because the noses on foamies are so easy to mess up. please more info.

I will give more info soon... So far i havn't had my motor get pulled off even though i fly w/ a 830mAh 3 cell lipo.. Plenty strong.. And when you hit nose first, the motor just moves around the mount doesnt break the foam..
