I'm with BodyWerks, the Aeroworks planes cannot be beat for quality, completeness, ease of building, and flight performance. There are cheaper planes, but by the time you go out and get hardware equal to AW they really aren't. There are lighter planes, but a year from now the AW plane will still be rock solid.

Well, they do look remarkably familiar - enough so that someone would mistake them for an Aeroworks QB, although I do see some differences in the design and hardware - still looks like it might be built by the same factory. They look like they might be pretty nice, but I can assure you that the extra $100 you pay for the Aeroworks is not just for the name - Rocco has a guy in China who's soul job is to oversee the quality of each of his planes that comes out of that facility, and he has to send some of the hardware to china to have them put in each kit because China doesn't make stuff that meets his quality standards.

Oh, and the Aeroworks Manual is worth it's weight in gold if you are not familiar with giant-scale setups...don't know about the Pacific models.

They are not called quick builds, but they build in the same amount of time and about the same way. you have to load them differently.

We have strict quality control as well. Our kits are Excellent quality! As for the look, we are changing the scheme on the next shipment. it is very misleading. They are Different in design, but in pictures the scheme overrides those changes.

I can honestly say that our manuals are VERY helpful and thorough. Of course I would say this seeing as how I wrote the yak manual myself! There is a link on our website for the manuals. look for yourself if you need to be reassured. Also watch the video to get a feel for flight performance! they are coming in lighter than aeroworks because due in part to our design modifications, no lead is needed! The yak prototype in the video has no lead whatsoever!!

Who designed them? I'll have to have a looksy at the manual - as I said, I can definitely tell that they are two different planes.

The formatting of the manual is also very remeniscent of Aeroworks...interesting. I like that it comes with all that CF stuff, though...

Body works,

I admit that I was looking for a format to base my manual off of, and after looking at several I chose this one. I have noticed that looking back at my old manuals this is also the format that they used. I did construct it all on my own though. The planes were designed by a friend of mine named Rich Mowery. many of you may know him from when Ryan Mowery, his son, was 10 years old flying at all the competitions. If you don't know him, he is honest as the day is long, and will take his plane apart to get someone else in the air! (I have seen him do this!) They are also canister ready!!!

So if this honest guy designed all these airplanes, why would he then let Nitro Models, AK Models, and Rich models sell what looks like the same Yak as at a lower cost? I am a little confused, maybe there not the same or his designs were stolen?

Hey Ken, how do you like that Ultimate?
Anyway, the whole "stealing designs" and buying "knockoff" planes (whether they be knock offs of Pacific Planes, Aeroworks, Nitroplanes, etc.) has been beaten to death on other threads - sorry I even brought it up...

Yeah I know, I shouldn't have brought it up myself. I guess I am getting little irritated every time I see stuff like this.

I love it, would not trade it for anything. Was going to take it out today but the rain moved back in. So here I sit on the PC agian seeing whats going on. Hey I used to live out there in Colo Spgs many years ago, where do you all fly? Been wanted to get back there just to see how much has changed.

ken,

as I said in previous post, the similarity in appearances is only skin deep. Our planes our ours and ours alone. No one else is selling our design. We made many changes to the design, it is just hard to tell from pictures. It is rather misleading because of the covering scheme. It is now changed for the next shipment which also might have some 150cc edges!

any of these planes all up are going to cost $3500.00 to $4500.00 If that's reasonably priced, you need to decide witch plane you like best 330, katana, ultimate....the price is the price. It's a big jump in price to a 40%.
