How to vent fuel tank?
One fill line to tank, one to carb. No muffler pressure like nitro. So, how do I vent the tank? Also, using a Fuji BT43EI, should I use 1/8" I.D. fuel tubing? |

ahhh I cannot find it. But you are right one goes to the carb. one goes to the filler and one is the vent. I took mine and snaked it around the top of the tank making a U shape then drilled a hole in the bottom of the plane and ran the line out it....

Do I put any kind of check valve in it?
Or do I just vent it to outside the airframe? Fuel line size??????? |

1/8 should be fine but i would wait to hear from the more experienced guys. no check valve, just a fuel filter on the way to the carb.... yes vent it to the outside of the frame.... straight out the bottom....

rmother is right. 1/8 should be fine. I had a bt64. A good rule of thumb is that the inside diameter of the fuel line should be at least as big as the inside diameter of the fuel inlet on the carb. Bigger wont matter... unless it wont stay connected to the carb!

I'm by no definition an expert builder (or assembler for that matter) but here is pics of my fuel line install. No check valve as this should allow venting - in both directions (IMO).
I do plug the vent line when carrying back into the house just in case there is a tad bit of fuel still in the lines or tank - as it can leak out onto the carpet! I always set the lines up the same on the tank stopper. Vent is always oriented to top, fuel to carb always on right, and fuel/defueler line on left. (Note this is not completed install pictures.) You can see the fueler cap at far left in the first picture and the black "plug" cap at bottom line. Zip tie all connections!! Zips are cheap in-suar-ance!
