Well guys.... I was at our field yesterday & saw Chris out with the new 50cc Yak, putting her through the paces. I can honestly say....MAN!!!!! What a plane!!! Chris flew both precision maneuvers & WILD, down LOW maneuvers & she did exactly what he asked.

I was overly impressed because the precision (which is my line of things) was comparable to any 40%'er under contest conditions and the 3D stuff was what any 3D'er would want in his/her plane. In addition to all of this, the aircraft was larger than the usual 50cc airplane and had MUCHO power for vertical pull-outs from a torque-roll. The airplane appeared to be very stable in all the high alpha maneuvers that Chris put it into.

This may sound like a "sponsored" pilot input....but I'm not an Extreme Flight pilot (I fly Comp-Arf's)..... I'm just giving my first hand opinion of having seen it in live action.

Glad to hear the report. I'm trying to get everything together for the yellow and black from the fist 20 that I have coming. This will be my first 50cc plane completed. Had the original 85" from EF (reported 87") but sold it before I ever put it together. Gremlinx and I are going for a one day build on it when it arrives.

I'm going Apogee 2480 - 2s packs on the rx. Anyone got a good recommendation on the regulator? It will have 5955's all around.

i recommend either the Smart-Fly TurboReg with PowerExpander Pro, or if weight is an issue, then the Fromeco Regulators.

I have the MPI regulators but worried pushing 5 - 5955's won't work since they don't have the heatsink. I guess I might have gotten by with the better ones from MPI but I didn't pick them up. Probably use them on the ignition...

Wish I had some pics of the 300. Never really liked the looks of the smaller ones but can't imagine what the larger ones will look like.
