Geez Rusty, if that pic was taken 90 degrees to the right, it would have finally given us one siutable for the public, but at least you hid half of your melon, big plane, but I don't reckon Benny would fit in it as far as you did, LOL

Hey mick,

Most of the release we use are home made jobs. They are pretty easy to knock up out of some stainless tube or aluminium stock. I can get some closer pics if you like? Are you after something for the tug or the glider?

My plans for a 1/4 scale woodstock turned up last week. Hope to get started on this soon so I can fly it before the years is out.

Rusty looking for releases for both the tug and the glider. Maybe I will have to make my own as you say, some pics would be appreciated.

Looks cool, are you going to get the parts laser cut, or do it all by hand?

If you need a good release try the multiplex unit, works well for tugs also. Or you could use my split pin idea

Here you go guys this is my current tug project. It's a Scheitzer 1-30 scratchbuilt to 40% scale giving the model a 4.88 meter span and is 2.6 meters long with a target weight of 45lb and a king 140 for power. So far everything is scratch built from the cast alloy tail wheel to the hand made tyres and CNC alloy hubs.

Back from the looooong IMAC weekend... Here are the pics of the clips I modeled up. The base is tapped for 4 8-32's and the cover capture is through holes. The center hole is for the .125 wire... Open for feedback and can send samples if anyone is interested. I'll have 4 sets (2 airplanes worth) so the first two to speak up can have them... FYI these are meant for a two sided yoke setup.
