Our website is back up at KCSE.org. We have some towing videos in the Gallery, but one of the best is Rex Burton's slide show of our first aerotow. It should be updated soon with more videos and info on our aerotow scheduled for 5/11 to 5/13. Hope some of you guys can make it. Jim

ok ok first of all i was in a hurry and forgot my camera so there

1st-- motor magnito was set incorrect from the factory, so you guessed it. i flipped that sucker untill i thought my arm was going to fall off before i checked it . after fixing this minor problem the g38 fired right up and purred like a cat

2nd-- taxied down the runway lifted off and it was airborne. it was flying ok for what it is. but i had to keep messing with the elevator trim. until i figured i HAVE NO ELEVATOR. . *** is going on here i have everything else. the plane is going down and i have NO UP. soooo i backed off the throttle and had no other option than to put it down wind . had to keep bumping the throttle until it got close enough to put it down, or i should say let it come on down cause i had no up. lucky i wasnt out very far. it came down a little hard but i thought it would roll out ok, until a gust of wind got it from behind and started to throw it around and all i could do was watch. i couldnt hold the tail down . after inspecting the plane over we found the FACTORY installed hinges were broken on the elev. only the the ones on the very outside were intact. then i noticed that there were only 4 hinges (ca) on the elevator which i might add are apx 25 or more inches long . the landing gear are mangled but it will be fixed by next weekend. whew that was long

yea it sucked ,but it isnt that bad. reglue the landing gear block this time with glass. and fix the alum gear and were up and away. oh yea decent hinges this time. i didnt even think to look at the hinges scince i didnt build it i figured the guy that put it togeather did it until he said that the factory glued them in. you could see his glueing on the ailerions. i guess it was as much my falut as any for not looking at them better. i did a pull check before takeoff. it flys like a big trainer. it even looks like a big trainer. will have pics this weekend for shure

We use a sig rascal 100" and the big AXI on 12 cells. It pulls the snot out of stuff! How do I load a video here? its a 20 second ride to 2500' Thats with a 4m Lunak abd 3.7M DG1000....

gets about 5-6 tows on a charge and it's got some serious cool factor.
