Default Decent Car Paint Job...

Anyone out there know how much a decent car paint job would cost? I was thinking about getting my truck repainted because it's real sunfaded and such but didn't have a clue how much it would be.

Thanks!

If it just faded and does not have other bodywork to deal with you should be able to just buff it out, add a coat of wax and be good as new.

If there is other body work needed like rust or dents, you will need to get quotes from several body shops for the repairs.

Well, you can go the MAACO route and get a paint job for $249, but you get what you pay for .

If you don't need bodywork, I would guess $750 to $1K. Auto paint is very expensive, normally paint and supplies for a car will be $300+. A guy I work with had his car painted at Maaco, but had a 'custom' job with their top end paint and he had $1K into it by the time they were done.

$750.00-$1k...holy crap that's cheap. I want my truck painted as well (very little to no body work needed) and the quotes I got were all over $3k.

Just found this local place in town online...

http://www.1daypaint.com/1daypaintsystems.html

The $629 package seems pretty decent for an older vehicle like mine. (94 Toyota P/U)

Even the $499 package sounds decent... but I would save the extra money and go for the $629 one.

Cool... Damn thats crazy... I can sell my TRex (which I won't), get my truck painted... and still have money left over! HAHA what a hobby!
