Just ordered the Panzl arf. Wondering if anyone here has experience with this one. Putting Da 100, 8611a's, Fromecos, etc. Looking specifically for rudder servo rec. In the tail or pull-pull, and location to put batteries etc. Thanks in advance for the help.

Hi
I have a Panzel with DA-100, I used dual aileron servos in each wing, Elevator servos in the tail, and 1 8611 for the rudder in the fuse before the turtle deck. What a great flying airplane, lands like a trainer and just a ball to fly. Good Luck Bill |

For the rudder, if you want to do it right, I'd go with 2 8611's using a pull pull. Absolute monster on the rudder with that setup, but one will definitley do the job. 1 per elevator, and 2 servos per aileron, those dont have to be 8611's though. Min 100oz's would work fine. Keep the batts under the canopy area. Definitley, definitley go with a CF wingtube.
This plane will take abuse that would turn others into scraps of balsa. Even though it'll fly slow as a walk, I love flying mine at high throttle settings. There's been more then once where I've people cringing. I love it. Wouldn't trade for anything. |

JeeUm, thanks for the help on wing tube.
Matus, I was psyched for the 260, but as the day gets closer, I got less and less comfortable that the airplane would be here on time. There are guys with plane tickets, vacation scheduled, etc. I felt it was easier to switch airplanes than to switch dates. Plus, Jtec was very supportive in the 40% I just built, and I am very happy with there products. |
