Default Any experience with OMP 80" Yak or Edge?

I am considering either OMP 80" yak (currently out of stock) or 80" Edge. Both are profiles. It would suit my mvvs 35cc perfect. I noticed that the fuse is little shorter at 71" for an 80" span airplane. Does this thing fly like a full bodied counterpart or do they fly like a fun fly profile?

Yes I have flown three of the OMP 80" edges and have a friend flying the Yak. They all fly well. Probally not as close the the full bodied counter parts as you want but not like the smaller profiles either. Any more questions PM me and I will try and answer them as best I can.

I know a guy with an 80" Edge with a BME 44 on it......it flies awesome...he throws it around and it asks for more....I'll try and post some pics of it tonight...definitely flies like a fun-fly profile.....I've thought about getting one too...it looks like too much fun..

I have several hunderd flights on both of these airplanes. Both are excellent.
Float forever. Hover effortlessly. Excellent on windy days.
The MVVS 35 is what I have on mine now.
Use the MVVS factory quiet pipe, otherwise the motor is a dog.

How much rpm gain over mufflers like bisson? I am a little reluctant on tuned pipes on 3d airplanes as I care more about smooth transition rather than brute top end. How does yours respond to lowend small throttle corrections and transitions?

What prop and what rpm?

Mines the origional design with the built up center section. Its a blast to fly, its all profile and fly's like it, just bigger and a lot more stable. Moki 210-11.5lbs

I have flown the 80 and 92" profiles. I have more stick time on the bigger one. They definitely fly like big old funflys. Probably some of the lightest wingloadings around.
