Default IMAC SE Judging School Mar 3/4 2007

Hi all..... We have finalized plans for the SE Judging School which
will be held in Augusta GA on March 3/4 2007. We will be graciously
hosted by the Trenton Radio Control Association
<http://www.flytrca.org/> whose field we will be using for the Sunday's
Practical Judging session. The Judging School will be held at Double
Tree Augusta, in Augusta Georgia & we will be setting up a web-page
shortly with the reservations information for both the Hotel & also the
classes.

There will be two (2) segments in the classes on Saturday which will
have a "break-away" session for an Advanced class & the regular class
for participants who have not been to a Judging School previously. As
mentioned above, Sunday will entail practical judging experience in the
fine art of judging.

Make sure that you do not miss this one! I will send out links as soon
as the web-page is up with further information.
Looking forward to seeing you there.

Sounds great Wayne - look forward to attending. Will you be doing some kind of pre-registration for this?

Thanks for all your hard work in setting this up!

Hi there Pete.... Yes... the web-page has been set up but I'm finalizing the registration process with Vic Rice. As soon as we have it resolved, I'll publish the web address so all interested parties can register on-line.

Looking forward to seeing you there & flying with you in 2007.
Bye

Wayne,

What is the name that the hotel has for the group rate? I asked for "IMAC"; "SE IMAC"; and "IMAC Judging Clinic" and no one knew what I was talking about. I called the hotel number listed on your website. Maybe I just got the new guy when I called?

Thanks,

Pete

Hey Pete.... I checked with the hotel this morning & they did not have the IMAC info in the system, so that is why they could not find it when you had called...There were 2 other persons that called also...

The Sales Manager assured me that they would have it up & running in ½ hour (it's now 10:45am Jan 17.) So please give it an hour before calling back.

We have Tom Wheeler coming in from Ohio to help with the class, so we all should have a great learning time together....

I called the hotel again and everything is all set. I mentioned the "IMAC group" and the attendant said, "oh, the Jamaican group, right?" (Just kiddin!)

Wayne, will there be any time on Sunday during the practical judging to do any flying of our own? The web site didn't indicate if we should bring any planes or if there would be any time to do any flying. I did notice we have some demo pilots attending.

Hi Bob.... During the practical judging session, the participants will be applying everything that they learned on saturday, doing actual judging of sequences/maneuvers..... So, to answer your question directly, NO, there won't be an opportunity to fly DURING the training.

HOWEVER, afterwards, (approx 1:00pm) the field will be open to flying. So you can bring your plane if you wanted to fly after the training.

Thanks Wayne, anyone else bringing their planes to fly on Sunday after practical judjing session? I might if I can work out a secure storage overnight. My truck has a camper shell and I don't feel really good about leaving aircraft in the parking lot in a camper shell. Hey Kevin, you still going, are you haulin your trailer, hint, hint.

Oh yea, Forgot to ask, Will the feild be open to flying on Friday afternoon.?
