So check this out... We had 2 final prototypes of The FlyingGiants / Insane Foamy at the AMA convention this weekend. Jason sent these to us in ARF form so we could get 'em together fast.. Problem.. We were running around all weekend and did not have a chance to build 'em.
Enter DJ & Zak. I offered 'em one of the prototypes: get it flying today and it's yours kinda thing. What soon commenced was a riot!! We had no tools, batteries or other smaller item, and between Zak, DJ, Jeeum, SEG, XIPP, and a few others, we all ran around the convention swiping my CC to get the stuff we needed. It was definately a scavenger hunt if I've ever seen one.. Anyways, when all was said and done, we had a built and RTF FG foamy in all her glory! Zak did some very cool demos in the activity center and everyone who saw it fly were very impressed! FWIW, the feedback we've received on this is simply nuts. Every person who came by the booth wanted one - and they'll be out VERY soon... So, congrats to Zak and DJ - the first, and currently ONLY owners of the FG Foamy. When these things hit the market, I think they are going to VERY well received. Here's some shots. Thanks again Zak & DJ!!! We couldnta done it without you!! MD

I wasn't a fan of my first foamy (Hobby Lobby Yak 55), but chances are I'll give this one a try. I did like the Ikarus Shockflyer a fellow club member let me try out.
What motor and size LiPo is recommended? |

DJ and I were about to take off from the show when he came up to me holding the FG foamy. I knew right away he was gonna rope me in to flying it ASAP. It was a fun build. Using scissors for screw drivers, Xipps lighter to get the shrink tube stuff done (and melt a bit of foam), and running around hittin people up for various parts. I was wondering how it was going to fly. I have to say i was a bit skeptical of our setup. For an hour and a half build, id say it went well. First flight was nice but lacked power. Dropped in Max's new TP 1320 and it was rippin up the inside of the arena! I didnt know what was going to become of the plane, but Jesky made sure it didnt leave in one piece. Max's stump the chump (was that what it was called??) game put it do the test. With only about 35deg of throw on the tail, I tried to pull of the rolling loop. Only one thing got in the way...which was the ceiling. I still think the maneuver should have been judged.
All in all it was great fun. The plane has HUGE potential. Thanks to Max and all the FG guys for letting DJ and I try this sucker out and for helping us get it built in such a rush. We had nothing but eager customers asking about the plane. This one is going to be killer!

Just wanted to say also that there are gear struts and wheel pants that make the gear look a lot better. Here is a pic of the prototype. Of course the kit will have blue ones.alo the plane in this pic is a lighter blue then what comes in the kit.
