Yeah, im here, just not as often as before, school keeping me plenty busy.
It's a hard deal to pass, but I seriously think I think I should get a car first. I know that that is what you want me to do too as well, driving me around as well isn't too appealing to you and I know. It's going to be handy when I do get a car, I'll be able to go and fly as often as I want without asking for transportation. Because right now thats what I need the most. I don't really like walking 25minutes with planes in my hands to go to the park and a backpack on me, so again car comes in first, but if its still available then, I sure will take closer look at it, and maybe even buy it. ![]() Thanks LeBlanc |

Ahh yes, the spoiled brat pipes in...
Well, being a parent myself of 2 boys, I can't wait to teach them to fly - but at the same time, I will have to be careful not to spoil them. I would love to see my boys flying 30% RC when they are 14 (over 10 years away from now - so I may have to do some financial planning sometime between now and then), but only if they are performing top notch in school. First class grades will get a first class livelihood...maybe they won't like RC - who knows. Chase the skirts and worry about your grades while your young, you'll make more than enough money to buy RC crip crap later in life when your looking for something to do on the weekends. You'll need a decent college education to get a good job these days, and any decent salary can afford these RC planes, its the real EXTRA 300's and EDGE 540's that pose a checkbook / wife challange...in the mean time, be the ball |

Yeah, well when my father was around he was all for it and wanted me to teach him. But unfortunately he passed away before I got a chance. But my mom is about 75% for it. She just doesn't want the big stuff, until I can drive and transport the stuff around my self. And if you need help make friends that's how I got all of my hook ups. My friends give me stuff all the time.

When I was a kid (I am in my twenties now), I mowed just about every lawn on the Air Force base my dad was stationed at to buy the stuff I wanted. I also had a paper route to suppliment my "income". If that wasn't enough, I also had to do chores. If I did a military-style job of cleaning, I would get $20/week. If a dust bunny was found, I would get nada. In junior high school I started building computers and sold them to my teachers and parents. The moral of the story is that my parents could have bought everything for me, but they wanted me to appreciate what I had by working for it. The best advice I can give you is focus on getting into a college, study your arse off, start a career you are passionate about, and the money will come.
And yes, get a car first.

Yeah, I'm at that stage where it's time to get a car. And if I decide to get any bigger then I'll need to get a trailer as well. My grandma doesn't know how into the hobby I am but that's a good thing because then I can beg for money on a car.
