Windows Vista and Giants Chat
Anyone here running Visata and able to get the chat room to work on it? I have tried everything I know and I can't get it to work, and suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

It is do to the type of Java that is used in Vista. Or how IE is using Java.

Yeah,
Download FireFox. Microsoft has cranked up security 500 different ways in Windows, and made it a BIATCH to get the right settings for good computer use. I strongly recomend use Firfox for your browser. There are a few plugins you will have to install but it will automagicaly do it for you. David |

Here is a page with all the "plug-ins" you could ever need for firefox. Download all of them and you can throw Internet Explorer away after that. This should fix the chat issue.

The other thing you can try if you want to use IE, is add www.flyinggiants.com/* to your trusted sites list in IE.

Ya might be up a creek with vista on this one. I just found a note from Java that stated "Windows Vista does not support JRE"
Looks like youll have to use Firefox with vista. |

Further research,
Http://www.java.com/en/download/windows_manual2.jsp This is JAVA version 6 for vista. But still no luck on my DEV box for either IE or Firefox. I'll keep workin on it. |
