Depends on weight. It is advertiesed from 15.5 to 17.
At 15.5 it would be 26.45 At 17 it would be 29.01 My original 300lx flies great so this one should be even better |

I currently have the old extra special, and it is to heavy at the altitude I fly at. I was look at buy a new airplane. I was wondering what one was lighter wingloading Aero-Works 50cc Yak or the new wild hare extra.

Well, the aero-works claims 1409 sq inches of area with weights from 16.5 to 17.5 At those weights you are looking at loadings from 26.98 to 28.62. So basically the same. When you say too heavy are you talking vertical performance or flying? What motor are you using on yours?

I am talking about flying, rolling, etc. Vertical is awsome with this airplane. I run a 3w-50 spinning a 24-10 prop. It is a very good airplane but for 3D it isnt the best. I just want a good all around airplane. so I was just looking for some opions on the new wildhare extra thats all. I like wild hare, but I also like the look of the AW.

Yeah, with a 24x10 you should have some thrust. I dont use my 300lx for 3d either, have a yak for that. Not sure how much better the new extra is at 3d, but i think some of the new changes were aimed at 3d. There was a build thread on here on it, I am sure you can find it and get some flying reports.

yeah I just don't know what to do. Do you think the Yak is a good flying IMAC plane?

I dont have that particular yak, I have the BME yak and yes it is. It really is an all around good plane. Probably why they are so popular.

yeah, I was going to buy the 100cc yak, but I don't want to spend that much money on a airplane when I can spend that on a new radio, like the 12Z. So I think I will go with the yak and use my engine from my wildhare extra.
