Default Heli-max AXE CP RTF...

HI,

Anyone tried to 3D this heli? Seems like a pretty good basic 3D heli to start out with.?.?.?.?.?.?.? I can fly helicopters around, but havn't tried to flip one over yet.. would like to with my T-rex but want to start out with a cheaper heli..
What do you guys think? I know it has a tail motor, so it's not going to be the most precise/stable helicopter out there, but for $200, i think it would be a better heli to start out with..

Thanks!

You have a perfectly good trex that is ment for 3d. Save your money and buy parts if you stuff it.

Agreed, and the T-Rex is just about as cheap a heli to crash as there is. I can tell you that you are much better off learning things like flips, rolls, and 3d stuff on the T-rex than on something like the Axe. Reason being, the tail will hold on the T-Rex, where it will tend to wash out on the Axe, greatly increasing your work load.

I have an axe. I like it. Way more stable than the Blade Cp. But I think the guy's are correct. Just buy parts.

Mate $200 bucks worth of spares for the Rex and you would almost build a new one. Do it on the Rex, they rock.

The Axe's fly out of our LHS. And they stock parts.

I am still just hovering with collective no neg, and a little forward flight. I never intended to fly Helis, but I want a gasser scale Huey. Just for putting around...

I've got a couple of T-Rex's if anyone is interested. One is airframe only and the other needs Rx and a rudder servo. Also have a bunch of spare parts.

I have a Esky K2 that took a lot of tinkering tightening up loose fitting stuff and loosening up things that were binding. And after a brushless motor and heading hold gyro it hovers & flys halfway decent. But it was not flyable out of the box, getting rid of all the slop helped a lot but the cnc head made the difference in the way it responds to stick movement. the next step is a good tx, so what are a lot people using JR , Futaba or Hitec ? I have a Futaba T6EX 2.4 that I use for my HDX450 and I guess I can program it to more than one aircraft. Does anyone have the settings or a web site I can go to for the Esky K2 ? I don't mean to post out of the thread, but I think it was finished but if not I apologize. Thank You! ---Vernski
