guys,
These are the new Pacific Planes! They are awesome!! I saw the 50cc yak fly and it is amazing! It flys on rails. it is light as a feather 16 pounds! 3D is awesome! This is my buddies company. Most of you know him from flyinggiants as Half Scale, and others from the flying circuit may know him as Rich Mowery. this is definitely going to be a hot airplane. he also has a 100cc extra 260 that will make its maiden soon. Keep a lookout for video real soon. Rich is in the process of changing screen names from Half Scale to Team Pacific Planes, so if you have any questions shoot either me or him a PM. They should be hitting the market in a couple of days. I'll keep all of you updated! Happy Flying, Brian Ludwig

Nice.
ONLY thing I would suggest , If I may be so bold... I would tell your friend that if he wants to be a viable plane distributor... he may want to get the manufacturing company to make schemes that don't resemble other companies planes. Would I still buy one... if the price is right.. yes... but I'm just saying.. if you want the RESPECT of the modeling industry... do some completely new designs... PLUS variety is the spice of life BABY!!

That was a misunderstanding between partners and is being changed on the next shipment. only 45 planes are done in this scheme. after that it is a totally different scheme. i am talking to Rich on the phone and he says to tell you hi and say nice build thread! he also says that the scheme problem is already worked out.

Sleepyc,
FWIW, the design of the planes are totally different from other companies. they are our design, they just have a similar covering scheme. Fun_fly_3D

Similar, holy shi#$%^, if I were the owner of Aeroworks I would be pi55ed off. I'sn't that my Aeroworks extra 260? That isn't similar it is a complete ripp off. maybe the same manufacturer of planes. I mean come on , that is the same plane finish wise.

Just unloaded a 40ft container today! Both the Extra 260 and the Yak 54 have Carbon Fiber Wing Tubes, Stab tubes, tail wheel, and landing gear. We also pre-hinged the wing and tail. With the Yak 54 weighing in at 16.5 lbs and the Extra 260 weighing in at 26.5 lbs, these are two impressive planes. Rich and I will have the website up later this week. Take a look for yourself.

AWESOME!
Good call on the color schemes! I can imagine that trying to get the schemes the way you want from thousands of miles away is kind of ruff. It looks like you have some great planes! (from what I can see) With a NICE fresh scheme.. all the neigh sayers can put a sock in it.. and let the planes speak for them selfs!! I wish you much sucess... If I can help in some small way let me know.

66Stang, For $575 you can be a pilot of our Yak 54 50cc. Wait until you see this plane. It tracks and 3-D's unbeleivable. Send me an email: Blake@pacificplanes.com. I can set you up with Ryan Mowery, our Team flyer in St. Louis. He is picking up 20 planes this weekend and heading back to St. Louis.

Ha! It would be so rich for Aeroworks to come on here and explain how they feel about having their scheme ripped off. karma - what goes around comes around Last edited by santaqwerty; 01-24-2007 at 12:28 AM. Reason: grammar |

Just when you think that this hobby can be incredibly petty, you read something like Mark's post. That has to be one of the most unbelievably kindest replies to what could have turned into a nasty situation I've ever seen. Mark, two thumbs way up for being such a ambassador of good will for this hobby.
