Great info here guys, I am indeed impressed with the skill and technique that you used to accomplish this. I just don't have the patience to do this, so here is what I do.
I call DA or who ever I buy my spinner from and ask them to cut the cone for me. Saves me a ton of money in replacement cones. |

I use a copy jig for the profile of the prop.
Primarily used for wood trim coping work. Cheap addition to your tool box. |

Great tips, my next CF spinner should be much better lol.
What are your methods for drilling additional props after the first one? I haven't found a fool proof way yet to make sure every prop gets drilled in the exact same spot.

I'd like to pick your brains/knowledge a bit more. Is there an easy way to make these spinners run true? I've done a couple of these carbon spinners and was very surprised (P oed) when I ran the engine that the dumb things didn't run true!!! It never occured to me that the manufacturers had not made sure that they did before selling them to you. I had a very hard time mounting on the lathe and triming and sanding to get them to run true. Any advice would be most welcome.

Could you maybe use CA glue on the inside of the spinner for balancing?
