Looking very nice.. and nice flying....
I just got one of the WM 42% Ultimate but in Yellow.... and just started working on it...

Thanks

Ahlan Abraham,

Well the plane flies great, realy unlimited.
great harriers, straight and inverted, stable hover and TR.
The DA150 is enough power for me but I fly at sea level, you should check yours.
Its a little slow on the roll rate, but thats not realy a problem, just getting used to.

you will love it, I am sure.
Here are some latest pics from the ARAVA Airshow.

Cheers,
Ziv

wow that is awesome... i am in the stages of sorting out one of these. any info on stab/wing alignments and engine thrust lines would be apreciated. the one i am looking at is the hangar 9 version but it would be the same i presume ?

Hanger 9 is DIFFERENT! Hanger 9 has thicker wing and no flying wires. Chip Hyde has told me that flying wires are needed with the WM ARF....
The fit of the world models plane is horrible. not a single wing alignment pin matched
with a single hole on the entire plane. Nothing huge really... but just a nuissance... that is how I would describe this ARF to build...a nuissance...
At 3000 feet altitude..(and occasionally 108 degrees ).... I think a DA 150 might not quite be the Yanker most people would like... but I have not had the most appropriate prop yet... (Oh yeah... DA makes compact muffs... so that the cowl won't need the 2 little half moon cutouts to clear the fwd muffler edges.... See picture)
The plane flies very light on the wing though....
The CG indicated in the instructions is horrible!!! They indicate a CG by hanging from the top wing tube... WRONG!!! I originally had all 3 batteries and a 2 pound Ingot of lead on the engine box.... nose heavy like a trainer!!! (PIG)... I have so far removed the 2 pounds and moved 1 Fromeco 4400 back to radio compartment... and I will eventually move 2nd Fromeco back to radio compartment.... DA Has indicated a MENZ 30 x 12 is the hot prop... I will find out this week if that is better....

Don't misunderstand me... the plane flies great... loads of fun... but building was a pain....

It has a bit of yaw coupling... down both rudder directions and roll out with rudder... 10%'ish mixing required...

I have 11 flights... and so far... it is the "Best Flying Ultimate I have Ever Flown"!!!!

http://media.putfile.com/flight-numb...ing-acquainted

the little vid is an excerpt of about 2 minutes on the 8th flight... I am still making friends with her!!.. and oh yeah... the cabanes will crush the top deck if you don't put something to hold'em apart... see picture.....

I would suggest the CHP 34% Extra or the AW QB260 for a newbie...
both with DA100's....

I have seen both fly.... and both are excellent... (CHP Extra is actually a modified Columbo-Anderson)

Hi Ziv..
I decieded to go for the KROMA 180i for my 42% Ultimate WM....
As for the fuel tanks am using 50oz ffuel and 32oz smoke....and just wondering if you have picture of your tank position.. I was thinking to put the 32oz on the top of the 50oz tank... also regarding the upper wing boom (Aluminum parts) can you get me a side view pic. if possible.

Thanx
Abraham
