I was looking at the plug N play from Hangar 9! Call me what you want, but always had a soft spot in my heart for Cubs. Not everytime I go to the field do I want to "try" to hover, walls,TR,you know... Sometimes a nice couple flights and a beer.

I have to admit I really have been wanting a Super Cub in the 100 inch range with some big ol' bush wheels and a small gasser lately.

I got 2 J3 Cubs in a war scheme. both don't fly right now but one is huge! 140" ws using a G61 for power. last flight i was flying and and not even 5 mins in the flight the ball link on the throttle came off and the throttle was going to full then to idle like crazy! couple times it was about to stall... soo i brought it around lined it up with the runway.... then the throttle when down to idle again.. soo i push down a lil' bit on the elevator and right before the runway came up it whent back up to full throttle... i didn't want to take the chance of taking it back up and having it stall soo it was going about 40 mph and i put it down the best i could in the grass and it would of been fine but the tires came right off the rims and the rims were like breaks having such a big WS the wing swept forwerd and snapped off. landing gear broke and i have no idea how the elevator got craped up but it did. it can be fixed but just gotta get the time to do it... the other one has about a 110" WS and is just old and needs a couple things. a funny also right after the big cub whent in not even 5 seconds later a guy crashed his heli lol

Bamm O.

Is that a kit or an arf that has been kit bashed. 140 inches is a whopper of a cub.

There are some days when that is just what you need. When you dont to want to break something, dont need the stress.

Shooting a few good touch and goes does it just fine. Two pointers of course. There are days when circle flyin is just what the doctor ordered.

Hard to beat a good ol Cub for relaxed flying. I used to have the Hangar 9 with a saito 1.50. Sweet bird.

Hey Jordan,
How long you been flying man? Are you ready to step up to a 1/4 scale or 1/3 scale? Do you want to build or want one ARF or RTF? There are several options. Sig has nice Cubs, World Models, Hanger 9 has a new one out all you do is charge up the battery and up a prop on it and you go fly!

I have the Carl Goldberg Cub I think it is 80 to 83" wing span. I have always had a Cub. Now there is a 1/3 scale for sale at our local Hobby shop. I mean I wish I had the extra hobby $$$. It is brand new. Has an electric start on it, smoke system and a G-62 all RTF. I mean it is not a shabby one either. The guy just wants to sell it he is getting out of the hobby and asked the Hobby owner here to sell it for him. I guess it is on Consignment. All of that for only $1,500.00.

I know the electric starter is $260.00 a new G-62 is $450.00 I just bought one that is with the Spring starter, Prop hub, tax and ship[ping I got a great deal through the same hobby store. Send a private e-mail if you are serious and I will get him on the line for you. But all that for $1,499.99. I want it so bad and even tried to talk a friend to go in half with me on it but we have so many other projects going on...I am just finishing a 40% and he is finishing a Chip Hyde Extra 35% I just finished a Bird Dog so that is close to a Cub but this is a beauty it is scale too.

Ok good luck. You cannot go wrong with a Cub. They are a fun plane after you have been flying 3D all day on those long Summer days when it seems the sun will never go down!

Ok hope I helped a little

who says cubs have to be tame . . . here's my friend's supercub that we use to aerotow sail planes. it's only 100" with a 50cc gasser, she'll haul up a 30 lb glider! it's a fun one to fly. i need to find some floats for it.
