It doesn't affect charging if your charger keeps going. As far as I know chargers will quit or start beeping if the input voltage (the one coming from your power supply or 12V battery) will drop below what they need to function. So if your charger is not throwing a fit don't worry about it.

I never put any resistors in the two that I made. All I did was connect the only green wire that's there to a black wire and VOILA...It works. My voltage stays constant above 12V even though I never tried putting a really high load on there to see what is does.

Hey Guys,

Just built mine today and so far it seems like it works GREAT!

I just hooked up 3 of the simple little Turnigy 2s/3s balancing chargers from Hobbyking and they seem to do the job pretty well for small/ medium batteries.

I mounted everything to a board so I can move it all quickly and easily to and from the trailer with the big birds etc.

Eventually I'm gonna add some kind of a panel with 3 more sets of banana plugs to connect to a cigarette lighter and/ or a 12v battery that way when I'm not near an outlet I can charge that way and its all contained in one place.

The conversion of the power supply itself was really easy thanks to your instructions here... THANKS!!!!

I also decided just to put the fan on the front of the unit rather than using the resistor... figured I had the fan already so why not add a little extra cooling?

Anyway... here are a couple pics. let me know what ya think!

This may be a stupid question (or questions), but I have a power supply that has two outputs that supply 15vdc @ "24A constant". I want to power Cellpro multi4 chargers. They have an input of "5A Maximum".

Question one is, should I assume that this power supply will not harm this charger because it "can" supply 24A constant, not that it "only" supplies 24A?

Second, if the cellpro can supply 24A, is there any reason I can't put a Y harness and power two cellpro multi4's from one power source of 15v with 24A available??

Thanks!!! Been a while since High School electronics I guess, hate to fry equipment if not needed.

Default Power Supply

I have a Dell 330GP power supply and was wondering if the wire colors for the switch and resistor are the same.
