I enter from upright, and fast backwards, It seems easier to me if I'm going fast. I just learned these well. I find if Im smooth on the right stick, I actually can feel my self drawing a squiggly line in the sky with the stick. Right now Im doing them beginning rolling to the right and pulling, than rolling back to the left and pushing along with mixed collective, and inputs to keep the heli moving in whatever direction.

Play with the cyclic more to get the proper effect and support it with the collective. Kinda reversed from tic tocs.

Don't forget that you don't always have to snake backwards. You can do it forwards, sideways tail down, sideways nose down, and once you get all that down you can do it piroetting or even 4 pt piroetting kinda like a moving 4pt piro tic-toc or piroetting tic-tocs.

That's what I love about heli's. The trick variations are almost limitless. 4pt piroetting snake. Now that's a goal for next season.

I also think the best way to start a snake is with lots of speed and then going into a knife edge. everything elths will just happen from there,,,if your lucky....

I can shoot some video of this on my Trex 450 this weekend. I don't have a specific way to start it really, I can go from a hover, from rolling circles, hurricanes, backwards flying, forward flying, pretty much any orientation. I'll try to shoot multiple entries.

Haha, I wil be shotting some video today for sure on my 450, it's pretty foggy out right now, but it should clear up enough to fly later on. I'll try to get video of the basic entries first.
