Default Hello from Sarasota, FL !

Hello Everyone !
I flew R/C in the late '80s for 3 years and then stopped when I started living on a boat. I just didn't have the room ( I needed a bigger boat ! ). About two years ago, several of the guys that I instruct with at the Skip Barber Racing School got into R/C, and let me take the controls of their planes and I got the bug again. It's a great hobby that I get much enjoyment from. I always take a plane or two with me when I drive to work. Most tracks let us fly right there which is nice. I've met many nice people in the hobby and am a member of the Sarasota Club. I'm amazed how the transmitters have progressed since the 80s and how electric motors and batteries have developed.

My hanger currently consists of : ( actually flying )
Eflite QQ Yak foamie / Park 400 Outrunner
Ace Cloud Dancer / Saito 40 ( I bought in the '80s )
H9 Twist / Saito 91 4c
Goldberg Sukhoi / MVVS 26cc gas on a pipe
Cermark Javelin / OS 46AX
GP Wagstaff Extra / ZDZ 60
I hope to meet you all at a flying field ! Walt

Hey man welcome!!

I used to go to alot of the AMA (motorcycle) races, and notices quite a few guys with planes.

2 years ago at Mid ohio for the super cycle weekend, there was a guy with a 35% or 40% extra that tore it up!

Biffs right, living on a boat, racing cars, and flying lunch breaks....
No thats the life!!
