Default 10X Air with Helis

Hi guys,

I'm considering buying a Trex 450SE but have one concern... will my JR 10X air version meet the demands of the helicopter setup? I think what I need is a CCPM mix (correct me if I'm wrong; I'm totally new to helis )? Is anyone here using this radio for a heli setup?

Thanks in advance,

Chris.

No you can't. The air version does not have pitch curves or throttle hold. Bummer.

Don't despair just yet, if your willing to spend some time programming the radio, as well as much more effort when tweaking your setup than someone with a heli radio, you could try this...

There's always a way around "limitations" But what if you need to adjust travel? Having a swash afr menu will save a lot of hair.

Wow just when I thought it couldn't be done! I can see what you mean though Nitrohuffer; pitch curves are out of the question (which I assume are almost a necessity for someone learning to fly on a 3D type heli), and setting a small helicopter up without ATV's does not sound fun at all. Ironically, I just sold my 6102 which has all these functions . Oh well!

Appreciate the replies guys,

Chris.

I'm into futaba, but that 12x has my name on it. Love that radio. I think of jr vs. futaba like pc vs mac.
