Just joined from New Jersey
Hi Guys,
Just wandered into this website - real cool. Been flying as long as my Dad has been building for the last 30 years! Im 35 but still feel like a kid everytime he finishes a new project. I visited the Joe Nall Fly-In a couple of years ago but this year I hope to come down, stay a couple of days and fly Dad's new 100" Eindecker. JB |

Manalapan is in Monmouth County. I belong to the Mercer County Radio Control Society. This is the club that hosts the annual Memorial Day Jumbo Jamboree and Warbirds Over NJ each September. I don't get out as much as I'd like to. Other than the events I don't think I've been there to fly in over 3 years. When I do get out, it's usually at the Richmond Model Flying Club in Staten Island. Tiny field but a great bunch of guys to fly with. Even though I live in NJ now, I still consider this my home field. I probably log most of my hours each summer flying at the local IMAA events: Warbirds over Delaware, Warbirds over PA, Rhinebeck, Mercer, etc.

Hey JB,
I know you...I live about 35 minutes south of the Mercer R/C field and have gone to all the events you listed since they began. I used to live close to Rhinebeck NY and moved to South Jersey 7 years ago. We will have to get together at some of the local meets this summer and do some flying! I fly Aerobatic and Warbirds. I have a AT6 Texan (Grey and Yellow with a red tail) with a smoke system that I have flown at Mercer, delaware and PA Warbirds every year. I've seen your white AT6 fly...it's sweet! Enjoy the FlyingGiants site...it's the place to be!

Yes - we should definately introduce ourselves at the next meet. As of right now, I plan on being at the Mercer Jumbo Jamboree in May. By the way, my SNJ-5 is gone. Lost it at Delaware a couple of years ago when a wing dowel failed and the wing peeled off coming out of a turn -major lawn dart! Thankfully the plane was immortalized on the SKS 2002 Warbirds Over Delaware video. Hope to see you in the spring, JB |
